EXPERT BEARD STYLING ADVICE

Tips for long beards

Charley says: “For long beards, I would recommend always following a daily beard care regime to give your facial hair the attention it needs! I would use more beard oil than usual to ensure each strand of hair is coated, I would recommend using 6-10 drops of oil for a longer style to keep it well hydrated.”

We say: Try BRISK Citrus Beard Oil, made with 100% natural oils and vitamin E. It combines nourishing almond, avocado, argan and jojoba oils in a quick absorbing formula. On top of that we’ve added fresh and uplifting combination of grapefruit and lemon essential oils for a zesty fresh fragrance.

Styling a full, thick beard

Charley says: “A good daily regime is a must for preserving thick and full beards – using a beard wash or beard shampoo to cleanse and then a beard oil to hydrate is key. You can even blow-dry beards when they are long enough, or use a mini flat iron to style. The key here is to look after your beard as well much as you would the hair on your head!”

We say: Try BRISK Beard & Face Wash in Citrus. Our specially formulated beard and face wash combines natural ingredients including grapefruit and lemon oils to cleanse and nourish your beard leaving it feeling fresh, soft and manageable with a zesty citrus scent. The perfect prep before you shape or style it.

Smoothing a short beard

Charley says: “For short, stubbly beards, my top tip is to groom and smooth each hair in the same direction. An insider grooming tip is to use a grooming mitt or new toothbrush to gently brush beards, keeping the hairs facing the same way. This makes the beard appear well groomed and styled.”

We say: For extra unruly beards, try adding a couple of drops of beard oil to your toothbrush first. Try BRISK Cedarwood Beard Oil. It’s made with 100% natural oils and vitamin E and combines nourishing almond, avocado, argan and jojoba oils in a quick absorbing formula.

Tackling a patchy beard

Charley says: “I would recommend trimming the beard every two weeks to keep its shape – which avoids beards looking straggly and sparse! I would recommend the BRISK Intense Beard & Face Wash and Intense Beard Oil, which together help to support hair growth for a fuller, healthier looking beard. Alternatively, for a quick fix, try using some dark make-up can help camouflage any bare patches.”

We say: Try BRISK Intense range, with innovative new formulations rich in hard-working ingredients that help support beard growth, including Castor Oil and Hemp. The Intense Beard & Face Wash and Intense Beard Oil duo work together for a killer, fuller-looking beard.

Get a well-groomed look

Charley says: “For a well-groomed effect, either blow dry or use a small tong to smooth your hair. One of my insider tips is always having a mini spooly brow brush on me. I use this to brush out beard hairs in any tricky to reach areas (under the chin is a regularly neglected area!), and it makes it super easy to tame any stray hairs whilst they are walking the red carpet.”

We say: TRY BRISK Beard Balm for taming fly-aways. Made from 100% natural ingredients including Hemp, Argan Oil, Jojoba Oil and superfood Cacao seed butter, BRISK Beard Balm is perfect for keeping your beard feeling soft and shaping its style. It can be used alone or after our oils and comes in a handy tin that is perfect for on-the-go grooming.
